SITES OF KING ARTHUR

  ARTHUR'S ENGLAND TRIP If you are interested in seeing the places that are linked with Arthurian legends, take a look at the interactive map Britain in the Age of Arthur.  Tray organising with your classmates an imaginary four-day tour of the main legendary places. Talk with them and plan your trip!  Check out the the followen places on the map: 1. Tintagel (Cornwall), where the king was supposedly born and perhaps where he received the sword  Excalibur. 2. The Round Table (Winchester Castle), an icon of equality which the king and his knights sat around. 3. Glastonbury , an important place related with a lot of legends and with Avalon where it is thought  King Arthur died. 4. Stonehenge , the iconic stone circle. Geoffrey of Monmouth, a popular author of Arthurian Legends, claimed that it was Merlin the Wizard who built this mysterious place. 5. Camelot (Caerleon), some medieval texts placed Camelot in Caerleon or some other places...
